The main effort should be taken from the parents side.Here are some approaches for the parents can take to develop healthy eating habits in their children.

1. Teach them to eat the food slowly. They can detect hunger and fullness , when they eat slowly. 2. Have the family meals together as possible. Try to make the environment relaxed and pleasant while having meal. It will create a positive vibe in the child's mind and help to eat food correctly.


3. Plan for snacks. Eating to many stacks can cause overeating but planned snacks at the right time and amount can be given. Now you can find many fun and healthy kids recipes for snacks in the internet.


4. Discourage eating snacks, meals or any other food items in front of the TV. Eating in front of the TV may make it difficult to pay attention to feelings of fullness, and may lead to overeating.


5. Make them drink more water. Avoid giving sweetened drinks and sodas to the kids cause they can produce obesity in children. For this parents should also control drinking these items.
